This arts education professional development series will target teams of public school elementary principals and assistant superintendents through a series of regional workshops framing the importance of arts education around California’s adoption of Common Core state standards and impending changes to student assessment.

This series will engage participants in activities creating interdisciplinary–project based teaching in alignment with the Common Core State Standards. Additionally, it will address the leadership considerations necessary to prepare for changes associated with the Common Core initiative.
